Randy Gleason, has more than a decade of experience working in-house in the legal departments of prominent technology companies, and most recently in the Boston office of a global, AmLaw 100 law firm, specializing in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and advising clients on technology transactions and cutting-edge legal matters. Randy leverages his experience to advise clients on a wide range of matters, including:

  • Software and intellectual property development, licensing, and commercialization;

  • SaaS and services agreements;

  • Artificial intelligence terms and conditions, responsible development and use policies, and compliance with emerging AI regulations, such as the EU AI Act;

  • Data privacy, security, including compliance with domestic and international data protection laws, such as CCPA, EU and UK GDPR, and PIPEDA, among others;

  • Supply, manufacturing, and distribution agreements;

  • Biotech, digital health, and fintech;

  • Third-party risk management;

  • Website terms of use, privacy policies, NDAs, and partner agreements; and

  • Design and build construction and facilities management service contracts.

Randy has a long association with the firm, having worked for Soloway Schwartz as an independent contractor in prior years. Randy’s mix of in-house and law firm experience provides him with an understanding of the legal and business considerations with respect to a transaction, fits with the founders’ similar backgrounds and focus of our practice, and allows him to provide practical legal advice and solutions to facilitate the efficient negotiation and closure of each transaction while mitigating client risk and protecting client interests. His demonstrated knowledge, skill and judgment working with our clients allows Randy to seamlessly integrate into our practice and immediately begin serving the needs of our clients.
